One of our valued long-standing customers is Prism Electronics Manufacturing Ltd, who have been operating in St Ives, Cambridgeshire since 1991 and have built a strong reputation for producing high quality precision electronic components and assemblies for a wide range of industries.

Our relationship with Prism Electronics goes back a long way – we have maintained their previous ERP piston compressor since it was installed in 2013. The business continues to expand, and it was clear that their existing compressed air system was no longer the best fit for their growing requirements. After working closely with the team at Prism, we were able to design a solution that would provide more capacity, better efficiency and long-term reliability.

The solution

The result was the installation of an Avelair Evo 7.5kW screw compressor, supplied with a dryer and filter set to provide a complete compressed air solution. Avelair was the preferred choice for Prism Electronics because it is manufactured locally in Bury St Edmunds and comes with an industry-leading 8-year airend warranty, along with the reassurance of full UK parts availability and support.

This installation is a good example of our solution-based approach. Rather than simply replacing like-for-like, we looked at the customer’s current needs and future plans to identify what was most important to them. By doing that, we were able to supply a modern UK-manufactured screw compressor system that gives Prism Electronics the performance and peace of mind they need to keep moving forward.
